Separate and sealed bids or electronic bids for the construction of a MONROE COUNTY AIRPORT RUNWAY EXTENSION AND OVERLAY, AIP PROJECT NO. 3-28-0001-027-2025 & AIG PROJECT NO. 3-28-0001-028-2025 will be received by MONORE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS until 9:00 A.M. MONDAY, JUNE 2ND, 2025 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Sealed bids will be received until the designated date and time AT THE BOARD ROOM IN THE CHANCERY BUILDING, LOCATED AT 201 W COMMERCE ST., ABERDEEN, MS 39730. Electronic bids will be received until the designated date and time via electronic online bid submission through www.cceplanroom.com.
The contract is as follows: MONROE COUNTY AIRPORT RUNWAY EXTENSION AND OVERLAY AIP PROJECT NO. 3-28-0001-027-2025 & AIG PROJECT NO. 3-28-0001-028-2025 Work consists of a 500’ x 75’ asphalt runway extension, including clearing, dirt work, runway and approach lighting improvements and markings. The work also includes milling, 1.5” overlay, and marking of the existing 5,000’ x 75’ asphalt runway.

Registering for a free account at www.cceplanroom.com will enable bidders to view and/or order Contract Documents online and/or complete the electronic bidding process. The only requirement for account registration is a valid email address. Contract Documents are issued to potential Bidders only as paper copies from Plan House Printing and Graphics, 607 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804. All payments for Bid Documents are non-refundable and shall be made payable to Plan House Printing and Graphics, 607 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing, on behalf of the Engineer, and whose name appears on the official list of Planholders maintained by Plan House Printing. Each bidder must deposit with this bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. For Bidders submitting bids electronically, the bond submitted must be either a bond issued by the Surety in electronic format or the original hard copy of the bid bond must be submitted to the MONROE COUNTY CHANCERY BUILDING, LOCATED AT 201 W COMMERCE ST., ABERDEEN, MS 39730. Bids must be submitted on the standard form of bid proposal, and the successful bidder will be required to execute the standard form of Contract Agreement, together with a 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond, within ten (10) days after formal award of the contract. Bids may be held by the County for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bid and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
The MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all information in the best interest of the Owner.
